The Center to Expose and Close Animal Factories (CECAF) was created in April, 2009. Founded by a diverse group of farmers, health care providers, lawyers, clergy, and environmental stewards, CECAF is dedicated to educating Americans about the dangerous practice of corporate animal production.
Over the last decade, CECAF members have battled the industry, formally known as Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO’s), through a variety of community, regulatory, legal, and legislative tools.
Now, they unite in a single organization to take the fight to the next level. CECAF is undertaking a national campaign to fully expose the disastrous consequences of giant animal factories on neighbors, communities, and the nation as a whole. From health threats to environmental damage to horrific odors to depressed real estate values to animal cruelty, CAFO’s are wreaking havoc on our country. CECAF is going to bring an end to it.
We encourage you to help. Find out what you can do to join the battle.
